Car shuts off when coming to a stop

ok so just today my car started shutting off on me when i come to stop after driving.

it does not throw an error code or check wngine light instead it starts back up normally and drives i thought it was the recall of the cable but i just got that changed awhile ago

anyone know what it could be i thought it may be over heating but of course no temp gauge and on the obd2 reader it showed 180degrees

PLEASE HELP i dont know what to buy or how to even check to see what could be wrong

thank you

lol. I was going to say the same thing...

sounds just like the auto start-stop function... but if it's an e9x, definitely a problem!!

When i had this issue as you was like coming to junctions and slowing down the engine would just slow down and then stall used to be able to stop it by a quick step on the throttle but have also known others just to die as soon as you rev and unable to stop it

Anyone ever tried just taking out the cup holders b4 going in for the recall? Or is this an issue for the dealer?

Try searching on here about the junction box recall. I believe they replace the negative cable going to the junction box. Post here with an update.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

I know you don't have a F30, the junction box recall affects the 328i http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=JUNCTION+BOX
