I always did find it odd that a company that calls themselves Forgestar doesn't actually produce forged wheels. False advertising!! Heh no but seriously but I think those new Michelin's are the reason for OP's high'ish price.

They're marketed as rotary forged, which is a bit of a misnomer as it is not the same as actual 1-3 piece machined forging like Rays or BBS. But it does mean they're still a step up from the shitty, gravity cast wheels though in terms of weight and strength.
My source: Research, and I'm running TSW wheels that are made by the same process. |
