shadow code (ECU) ?

Hello, would anyone know how to access shadow codes, nothing showing up in the OBDII port .. half engine light came on (Ive noticed twice in a row when it was wet outside & I was doing high revs, third time same day wasn't wet but car went thru a pothole and light came on...)

if you got half engine light than there should be a code. Tune? how did you read the codes?
