High Pitch Mechanical Noise
i've done a search already, but all i found was weird noises while idling....and that's not my case i don't think, so...please don't give me that SEARCH smiley....
ok.....last night i went to the garage, and then i heard some weird...high pitch mechanical noises under the hood from the car....it sounds like it's from the engine area after i popped the hood up..... i don't really hear anything when my engine is running though.....only when the engine is turned off.... usually they start to make noises every 20 seconds....sometimes every 5 seconds....it's not too loud....it's very noticeable though...and extrememly annoying.... any clues of what it might be? or should i just bring it to my dealer for to check? |

Does it sound like it could be a small fan running? How long have you had the car, and what model do you have?
I think the 335i has fans that cool the oil/turbos after driving (at least I hope that's what the sound is that I hear when I park the car in the garage) .
