Fault code help
Fault code c998
I just purchased a wifi elm 327 scanner and performed a diagnostic test of my 2006 325xi using the BMWhat lite app for my iPad. I got a c998 and an a370 fault code and can't find them in the list of fault codes Can anyone help? Why doesn't the fault start with a "P" rather than a "C" and "A"? Wallyf |

These are BMW specific codes. Not just OBD codes. These codes do not start with P,C,As
Why don't you check with the developer of BMWhat. I also had one such case and they were very helpful! Have you cleared these codes? Possibly they are just "sporadic"? |

Actually the Fault code is 00C998
The full code is "00C998".
I am back to thinking it is a "slight" difference in the readings from the speed sensors on each of the four wheels. Maybe sensors or wheel/tire differences(although the tires and wheels are identical). I am going to check the operation of the ABS later today to see if they still function correctly. I will let the blog know. Wallyf |
