It keeps slipping up by the dead pedal. Rather irksome
Here is the pic, any ideas would be great! |

This was my first thought, but then my second thought was "how am I gonna get the Velcro to stick to the rubber side of the mat with all those grippers?" I assume that we assume the Velcro will simply stick to the carpet? Or perhaps another Velcro "receiver" piece should be stuck to the base carpeting? Doesn't seem like it'll work in theory, or in practice
P.S. they're not BMW OEM mats, but should grip the carpet (but clearly they do not..meh). |

I wish I knew how as well...Mine are constantly moving around. If you have those little stud things on yours and they still move around, I can't imagine what would keep them in place.

My '07 has velcro and it doesn't keep them in place any better than it does on my cousin's '11.

On the drivers side There is this little plastic that has a selftapping screw behind it that goes in the mat and on the back of the mat a glued velco receiver piece. Almost looks like the job of the seat belt receiver job you posted few weeks ago... Not sure if its OEM stuff tho but it works.

Am I the only one on here with OEM carpet floor mats that didn't come with the hook on the floor and the loop on the mat? My mats only have a felt grid pattern on the bottom for grip. The damn thing keeps sliding up. Im interested to see what the solution is for this.

I have OEM Floor Mats and it came with those little discs that you screw into those secret holes on the floor, they keep my floor mats in place. It never moved at all.

I love the fact that mine doesn't shift at all. Mine does have a velcro on a screw that screw into the floor board. it came like that OEM. |

I don't know if i'd say its cost cutting. We have a 2013 335is and the floor mats don't move and quite frankly suck to shift once layed down. They came with 2 velcro discs about 2.5 inches in diameter attached near the seat edge. To top that off there are strips every couple inches of some kind of abrasive (for lack of a better word) carpet the whole way up. I have to set them down exactly perfect, after removing them to vacuum, because I can't slide them once down. The car came brand new this way so I don't know if this was a dealer install but it sure doesn't look like it was after the fact.

I have exactly those silly round things as well. Surely one needs no further proof that demonic possession is real. LOL
