I have been driving my car now for over 1000km (total 42600km) and have seen no change in the km left till service when i turn the car on. i had 8000 km left and 1000km later(even more now) still have the same? does it compensate for the other things that need to be changed or should it make no difference and still keep on counting?:

Yeah, it's kind of weird. On the e46 the display counted down the miles, but on my E92 is seems to jump in 1K increments. it also dynamically adjusts based on your driving (ie more highway driving, longer service interval)
