BMW fold-down seats -> squeaks?

For those of you with the Cold Weather package or the standalone option, do the fold-down seats develop squeaks or rattles over time? I know this is certainly the case with my current ride (sounds a lot tighter with people sitting in the backseat).

You do realize that anyone that says no is sure to have a squeak develope imediately.

I will say I have found them handy on occasion.

The single reason I didn't order fold down seats, every car I've had with them, every car, has had rattles develop from those damn things. A car with a passthrough option is best unless you REALLY need them. I wound up wrapping the metal pieces in felt, but it would only last a few months.

My car has just done 500 miles, and I noticed them squeaking this morning. That said, the rear shelf rattles too - so I'll get the dealer to look at both sometime soon....

I had the pass-through seats on my e46. Only squeeked when I didn't close it all the way. You do have to SLAM them shut. Had the car for 8 years never had a problem. Got them on the e92 and haven't had any problems either but then again it's still very new. < 5000 miles.
