Okay, so I know the owner's manual and first aid kit goes on the right side, but what goes in this little cubby on the left side? See picture

Where does the owners manual fit on the right side?

I dont have a first aid kit to reference where to put a manual. Regardless, wouldnt the manual flop around or is it held in tight?

My amp is underneath that plastic cover. Some might have a CD changer there as well.

Well the leather manual case that holds all 10 little books is pretty heavy. It fits perfectly in there and hasn't yet once come out on me.
So you're saying nothing goes on the left, it's just a cover? |

I once pulled that cover off to see what was inside, and it was an amp. So I believe if you have logic 7, you should have the amp there. Now if you have a cd changer, it might go in there as well, since there is this changer logo on that cover.

Okay guys, so short answer is nothing is meant to go on the left side?
I'm being a big nerd and got all the euro accessories for the trunk, like the triangle (with bracket) and first aid kit. Just was wondering if there was anything else I was missing. |

Haha yeah no shit.
I must admit I'm getting a bit OCD about all the non-LED interior/exterior lights after seeing my friend's new IS350 that has all LED/Xenon lights... but from what I've read the Bimmian replacement kits melt the plastic housings.. |

no, only the blue-tinted halogen 'xenon' bulbs melt the plastic housing, the LED kit should be fine since it doesn't produce that much heat vs halogen

+1. It also holds the little nuts you drop when installing the blacklines on the e90.

I'm curious about the pictogram on the plastic piece... it looks like they're saying it holds a metric box of Kleenex (Tempo?) or something

Just curious, but do you guys think the tray on the right was specifically engineered through BMW's infinite wisdom and forthought to hold the manual folder. Or do you think it was one of those things that just happened to work by chance? I think the latter. I believe it would have had a slightly different shape than it does and just a tiny bit more clearance if it was done on purpose. Also the way my salesman presented it to me as kind of like a neat little, not on purpose thing. Not that it matters. Just curious as to what anybody else would think.
