e92/e93 rear bumper designers need to be fired

I think the person who designed the E92/93 rear bumper should be fired. Come on - the bumper looks like the back of the car is raised up so high like a cat in heat. And the ducktail look is really not that great.

It seems that EVERYONE would like and M-Tech or even an Aero rear bumper with the black grills in it.

First chance I get my rear bumper hits the trash heap over at the body shop.

But BMW - please fire its designer.

Not to stir things up further, I always think the MB SLK Convertible "looks" better than the BMW Convertible.

haha i'll tell you!
the entire car looks great. the rear bumper with those design-less exhaust tips to me are just ugly. When i bought the car i had in mind that i would change the bumper or something.
I think the car looks great, it's just that rear bumper was rushed or something. i dont know. i mean look at M-tech, look at the aero one, or M3's, they all look really nice

I don't know about fired, the rear could be improved on but it's not THAT bad IMO. The G35's HUGEEEE flat rear bumper is worse IMO.

yah i dont know about fired either. maybe shot?

G35 design > 335 design. At least it was unique at the time, and it has character. there's nothing special about 335 design. look at it from the front you need a minute to know if ur looking at a 3 or a 5 series. E90 is even worse from front and back.

I don't know, why do all these people change their wheels and add stuff to their cars.

This site would practically not exist were it not for all the thousands of people who MOD THEIR CARS.

Open your eyes man.

It was my second choice.

The rear end is weak compared to the front. When BMW called with their survey, I told them the same thing.

Oh, I paid cash.

That's something completely different though. Modding because of taste is different than buying an expensive car and considering certain parts ugly.

This goes beyond a bumper...if i didnt like something about my car I wouldnt of bought it.

Keep it clean in here please.

If you can't discuss your differences of opinion maturely, then please move on to the next thread.

let me get this straight... you never looked at the rear of a e92/93 3 series before purchasing one?

I really don't think random thoughts/rants like this require their own threads but that's neither here nor there.

I think the rear end of the car looks fine; otherwise I would not have purchased the vehicle. If it bothers someone enough to make a thread about it, i'd have to say they bought the wrong vehicle. As for someone getting fired over it, i'm sure once someone at bmw reads this thread they will fire the responsible designer in the name of good customer service.

i think it looks fine. can't be too aggressive since it's not an m model.

those in europe get the nice option of the m-sport. it's just too bad it's not offered in the states.

Gonna have to disagree. It all comes down to preference. This car, while not exactly unique, really stands out due to the way the light hits it. It has all the right proportions, and the whole thing is pleasing to look at. The G also looks great, but I wouldn't say that it made any original design directions...it's pretty slab-sided. Its profile is the one thing that sets it apart from the rest imo.

There is no perfect car...
See, the G35 was a real nice car with its own character, but from the inside it had/has a lot of room to improve. One example - Why did they put the seat controls on the seats??? They realized that most americans are fat/overweight and they cured the problem with the new model
The same with BMW and aany other car in the world.
Peace
