DIY: F10 fog light install (Cree bulbs)

Here are some pics and notes for the install of Cree e92 (h8) bulbs on a standard F10.

Nice. The only draw back to LED fogs is that they dont improve actual road visibility. It does look very good and matches the angel eyes.

I agree ... I think, over time, LED replacements will improve to provide better visibility but in most cases they = appearance enhancements.

I actually bought these new from a member (Supercomputers). He said he got them from Amazon. Sorry I don't have a specific list.

I almost purchased these for my e92... with the projector lens they look like they put out a lot of light on the road.... wasnt worth my time as I rarely use my fogs.

Why would you say that? LED is usually a better light because it is brighter.

LEDs look brighter but you need to look at the lumens or total amount of light emitted from the bulb. If you look up the lumens rating of LEDs vs HIDs, you'll see that HIDs give more light output. This also explains why "purple" HIDs or those rated 8000K actually emit less light than OEM HIDs which are usually 4300K.
