Scanning key at dealership for Maintenance items
I was at the dealership a few months back to bring my car in for service. They scanned the key and at 57,000km and informed me it was time to change spark plugs. Changing spark plugs, brake oil, engine oil was all done free of charge of course.
What I want to know is without having my key scanned at the dealership say after manufacturer's warranty expires, how would I know when to change spark plugs the next time? I have the 335i, so based on the maint. schedule, it is suppose to be done every approx. 70,000km. But scanning the key indicated a lot sooner at 57,000km. The onboard computer only indicates, brakes, engine oil, and other items but not spark plugs. |
