I don't think this can be done. My only idea was to scroll to the fwd icon using the thumbwheel and hold it, but even that doesn't work.

Now if this was a Tesla, you could call and ask for this, and they could code it and push it to your car over the LTE connection. But sadly BMW is not Tesla so don't hold out any hopes.

Some more discussion here, but same conclusion.

This is absurd and funny. They probably have 80 people designing these infotainment systems and they overlook this?

I was trying to figure out when you would want to use such a feature. Then I pictured singing for a few seconds, rewinding, and more singing. Only, to what song? Please fill us in.

There's your problem. ..... You can edit the length of songs and burn a new cd or re load them on a device.... If you need better music I can help you get some.

Aloha

ok but in a tesla it takes about 5 submenus to open the moonroof. AND the mirrors don't fold electrically. that's ironic.

Can you highlight the forward button in the idrive and hold down the idrive knob? Haven't tried this myself but it's worth a shot.

Click the thumbwheel. Scroll to the next song.

Click the thumbwheel again.

Done.
