E93 Shift Knob and Boot - 1 pc. or 2??
On the E93, do the shift knob and boot come apart? I want to replace the knob with the ZHP one.

They are essentially 2 pieces being held by glue. You'd put the car in 2nd gear and pull the knob out, then you'd pull the boot out. The new ZHP will be one piece as the knob will come glued on the boot already. When putting in the ZHP, make sure the clips on the boot line up right and then just push the knob down and make sure it's tight.

Okay guys. Never mind, you are both wrong. 1. My knob came off without the boot, no problem. 2. The replacement knob is weighted 6 oz. and only the knob and not the boot. Part #25117896886.
