For those who like your B&O - what are your EQ settings?

I've played around with mine a mine a bit and cannot find the right solution here.
Thanks in advance!

EDIT: and if my stereo wasn't functioning properly is there a way I could tell without taking it to the dealer or crawling all around the car?

Tough call, each individual's ears hear differently so there can be no optimal solution. Some like more highs and some like more lows; couple that with different music choices makes it only more impossible to cater.

I personally run a V like pattern where the tips of each end are the lows and high's with the middle frequencies being relatively flat.

Stealth posted a pic of his settings a while back. I used them and have been very happy.

I just go a little over half or half on the EQ. Works great while I listen to Future and Mike Jones. JK

You can use these settings with either. It depends what kind of sound staging you prefer. I usually use Studio if its vocals.

I've tested this further and concluded that Expanded is generally better.

Studio is good for Vocals when the car is not moving. However the sound staging falls apart when moving, and also it doesn't work well with say Rock music. In particular percussion is very weak in studio mode.

I used @stealth.pilot B&O settings as well. As I was configuring the EQ I could hear the difference during each Hz/kHz adjustment. Sounds much better. BMW should of created presets.

It's somewhat difficult to tell exactly what +/- change to make. To make it easier, here is my best guess from the screenshot:

100 Hz +3
200 Hz +5
500 Hz +3
01 kHz +2
02 kHz +1
05 kHz +3
10 kHz +4

For those interested I am posting my settings for the equalizer of my (upgraded) B&O system.

As you can see the B&O system is already equalizing the HU signal quite a bit
(the system was analyzed using a RTA before and after the upgrade)

You should try my latest settings or rather blue.thunder's settings. He took a slightly different approach to mine to create better sound at lower volumes. It's very good.
