That is interesting-didn't see it before.

Fortunately appears to have been an isolated event.

Not really.. Happens a lot. Normally they go after nissans since they are easier to resell and can be fitted into more cars easily.

Sheesh.

Live and learn, I haven't really heard of this (other than purely anecdotal stories). It's like the airbag theft rings !!!

I was raving freakin mad. Not only did they take the lights, the smashed the glass and f#$ked up the steering column too. They even attempted to gauge out the GPS Idiots!! What could they possibly do with that? Once its taken out of the original car its useless. If they were so smart anyways they'd not be doing this, so go figure.

Happened in DC to my friend's IS. You have to watch where you park in certain areas I guess...

I knew this is/was a big problem in Miami but I haven't heard much about it in DC/VA/MD until now.

Nissan Maximas are the number 1 car hit for that because they are so easy to remove (a few screws on the outside)...

This use to happen all the time around Jersey. Nissan's and Acura's mostly. Can't say I've heard of it happening with BMW's. Seriously sucks.

Are you sure you did not hire someone to steal them? Looking at the photo, I doubt the lights are in good condition to sell/use.
