Brake Bleeding Question
I just bled my brakes after installing the M Performance brakes and 3 of the corners really didn't have any air bubbles and then the front drivers side had tons. Like air just kept coming and coming. Is that typical for one corner to have most of the air or is that a sign of a problem?
I checked all the connections and there doesn't appear to be any leaks and everything is tight.

I've bled the brakes three times with a Motiv power bleeder. Still spongy. I don't know what it could be

While bleeding the brakes, make sure to give firm taps to the caliper with a plastic headed mallet, this should release any remaining bubbles within the caliper assembly that caused the spongy pedal you experienced.

Hmmm... I definitely never did that but every time I've bled them it seems like the air trickling out is never ending. Maybe I'll buy a couple more liters of super blue and try one last time. I will say that every time I've bled them, pedal feel has improved but very minimally. Maybe 5%

No, I've been lazy
I'll probably bleed them again using the old school pedal method and rubber mallet in a week or so....

Hi I'm new to the forum. Just bought my first BMW and started look around the forums and the M Performance BBK looks like a great upgrade, but I have seen a lot of members complaining about pedal feel. I had an AP Racing BBK on my previous car and the pedal feel was much improved once the BBK was installed, I could modulate the brakes a lot better. I was wondering if other members have improvement in pedal feel. The two things that i could see that would cause this problem would be the brake lines not being able to handle the upgraded brake (I believe SS lines are not included) or that the Brembo calipers were design in a way that made it difficult to bleed the air out of the system.
On a side note I was also looking into getting SS brake lines to going along with the kit but could not find any place that has them for sale. I know that Challenge makes them, but I am not getting any response back from them and online vendors seem to be out of stock. Are there other options? Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks |

I don't have much more to add other than I have the challenge ss lines. Might as well put them in while you have everything apart...
