New 3 series
When I saw this my heart stopped. Without the smile on the front this is got to be the best ever 3 series. Combine it with the 3.2L engine and add two turbo's and I be give up the current model.

+1. The current 3-series looks perfect IMHO, and needs no improvement.
Plus, the picture you posted looks more like a new concept CS revealed at the Shanghai auto show: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/19/s...mw-cs-concept/ |

No , I don't think it is. The article states this is slated for 2011. I'm sure there will be allot of changes by then. The Frankfurt Auto Show is next week. There should be some hints there.

That pic looks really similar to the one from the recent MotorTrend (or was it Road and Track?) where it was labeled an artists rendering of the next 6 series.
Frankfurt is tommorow. But I don't think there will be squat on the 3 next 3 series. Not for a couple years in fact. |

Which wouldnt make sense considering the 6 series has historically been a coupe only.

Right, well I did say similar - I know it isn't the very same pic. Point is, its all just artist speculation anyway. Personally I doubt the 3 series sedan will look this coupe-like although the rumored CLS competitor from BMW will.

Yeah the front looks like a bat mobile, too aggressive looking.

I will be the first to say I like it. Yes, it is a change, but sometimes change is good. I remember how many people didn't like the 3-series at first.
