New to buying BMW

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and I dont have much experience when it comes to purchasing a car (a bit naive). I just recently sold my Mercedes E350 so I could buy a E92. Sorry if I annoy any of you with my dumb questions.

I found a 2011 BMW 328i Coupe for sale (CPO) for $36,000
-Clean carfax one owner, 33,000 Mileage
-M sport, Sport pkg, Preimum pkg, etc
-Navigation, heated seats,

Is that a good price? Should i negotiate? And whether if I should buy extended warranty?

Also, Is it possible for me to ask the dealer to change the trim and seat inside, I really hate the interior color combo

I bought pretty much this exact car last year (2010). It had 26k miles, PPK1, and PE and I paid just over $37k, so it seems like the price isn't too bad, but might have some room for negotiation.

It is a shame you don't like that color combo! There is basically zero possibility the dealer would swap those out as I am sure there are other buyers that would love to have it. Good luck.

Man I think that is an awesome combo with the interior like that & very unique, That's a good price too, and I think jafza is correct there's no way the dealer is gonna change out the interior. Be well & good luck.

Coral red interior is amazing, wait till you see it in person. As for the price.. That's how much I see them going for too in the Tri-state but I also see 2010 335s with CPO and less mileage or comparable mileage for that price. Try to negotiate with them, it doesn't hurt. Just throw them a price and if they can't match you, they most likely won't let you leave until they can work out something with you if they see that you are serious. Good luck!

too bad you're on the wrong coast, I would gladly swap all the Coral Red stuff for my black interior! I guess I'm an old school hot rodder at heart, I think a black car with red interior is a classic combo that never goes out of style. Personally I think it looks good with the white too!

Seems overpriced for a 328i. I think you can get a well equipped 335i for $36K.

OH! I totally missed it was a 328, yeah definitely a good bit more than you should be looking to pay. Maybe go to Kelley Blue Book and find the difference between base 328 vs 335 and deduct that from the 36000.

You might be able to get it down a little. Probably no less than $35k max. You'll be even lucky to get it for $35,500.

Have you test driven a 328 and a 335? I'm going to test drive a few this Saturday but i'm leaning towards the 335 just because my 325i felt too slow for me.

Nothing for nothing, but if you don't like the color combo DO NOT BUY THE CAR. Easy, you settle for what's available and you'll regret it and be faced with having to to do it all over again. This is especially true if you hold onto vehicles. Don't settle especially on something as everyday in your face as the color combo.

I love that colour combo! Coral red with aluminium is my favorite combination for sure. 36k seems like a decent price for an M-sport. Of course, you should always talk the price down as much as you can. I would go for it, looks like a good buy.
