You can do anything for enough money, but it would cost less money to just sell the car privately and buy another one with a stick for minimal cost difference between the 2 - technically if you do it right you could make money as the auto is a $1400 option new and adds some value used!
Otherwise, the auto is really integrated into the electronics, so along with switching the tranny and the pedel set, you may need to switch some of the electronics to make it function. |

There's more to it that juat the exchange of transmissions. The ECU would throw a fit. You'd need one of those off a manual tranny as well, an someone that knew what the hey they are doing. You can try finding one in a junkyard, or PM the OP here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82769 and see if he wants to part out the car. Souds like his tranny and ECU are fine, but engine is fooked. You'd spend less money getting out of the auto and buying a manual. |
