OBC accuracy

I know a few ppl on the forum wrote that the OBC gas consumption is not accurate, and the deviation is in the 10% range.
I just did a manual double check (at pump) on my car, after driving 221 miles at 54.2 mph average speed, with a 36.6 mpg average.
The OBC reading of 36.6 mpg was off by 2%, meaning that the real consumption was 36 mpg. For me that is very accurate.

Is my OBC "broken" or what's the reason why for others it's off by so much more?

Mine is typically off by no more than a gallon as well.

Mine was off by about 32% optimistic. I had to adjust the constant through the dashboard unlock with actual/obc x 1000. now it is accurate to tenth decimal.
