19" BMW 230 wheels

I've read a lot about these wheels cracking. I really like the look of them, however I wanted others opinions as to whether it's simply not worth the risk.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Any 19" wheel with low profile runflats runs the risk of cracking with the right pothole. 230 no more than any other rim. People have cracked 313, 225m, etc...

yea, all rims can crack but those cheap replicas you can get for like $800 a set at mod bargains will bend or crack more regularly than any BMW ones. OEM wheels go through tough standards (German TUV), and weigh more, even the forged ones.

From my research, swapping to non runflats help a lot. The style 230 is the most widely used 19" for 335i, and even though there are lots of bad stories about bending or cracking, I'd say the number is relatively low. Style 225m on the other hand is worse.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. Just what I wanted to hear. Now I just need to find a set in the Calgary area!
