Exclamation Drivers Side Mirror Ripped Off!!!

Hey guys. I was driving earlier and this idiot didnt see me switching lanes and made me swerve into what i think was a mile marker sign?? Anyway doing about 80-85 ripped off my fccckkkin mirror. The mirror must of hit the door handle and jammed it somehow so now the door doesnt even open. Few minor scatches on the drivers side door also (this all happened in a split second). Im bringing it in tomorrow, im wondering if i should get a whole new drivers side door and mirror? Or just let them repair the mirror, minor scratches, and door handle individually? Also any idea how much this going to run me? Sorry no pics my cam phone suckss. Any comments are apprecciated.

OUCH sad to here, I can shed some light on this. Here are pics from my e46 when my mirror was blasted off. Dented the door also. Cost was $846. Repairs were done right before i look a new lease on my e90.

Angry

:mad::mad::mad:So i just spent all day trying to get this s*hit worked out and BMW gave me an estimate of $$3600.00!! CRAZY!!....I go to Geico and the adjuster says that the damage all in all is about $1700, significantly less than what BMW said. WHAT SHOULD I DO?? I wish i had some pics but unlike the pics of the e46 above my complete sideview mirror ripped off and it somehow hit the door handle and now the door will not open AT ALL... so now i have to climb over the console to the passenger side to get in /out.....what a pain the the assssssss. Anyway i just wanted some opinions on what i can do about the $2000 or so difference from BMW & Geico.:mad::mad:

you want Bmw to repair it then tell geico to speak to the BMW service shop...You are entitled to bring your car any where you want to repair the damage...The adjuster will speak with the person in charge of the repair shop and they will justify why it would cost them 3600 to repair the car...Insurance should take care of what ever it costs to fix minus obviously your deductible!!!
