one thing I love...

is washing my car and seeing it nice and clean... I envy people that live in places where its nice almost all year long lol.... having to deal with garbage snow for a good period of the year sucks... but this time of year, seeing snow melt, longer sunny days makes it fun to wash and enjoy a beautiful ride

I can't even imagine the salt/snow/dirt up in canada. I think its bad enough down here in the DC metro area. Would be great to live in SoCal like SD where its sunny and nice all year round.

I moved from Ontario to California a few years ago. and though I don't see snow anymore, I get plenty of pollen/dust/dirt now.

Snow is gone here and warm weather is kicking in. My biggest issue here in NY are the total shit roads we have from winter and just in general non repair. The pot holes and small stones and debris is absolutely everywhere. We pay crazy tolls here that are suppose to be for road repair and bridge up keep. 15.00 one way over Varrazano bridge) Yet there is garbage everywhere kicking up on my baby.

Try living in Arizona, shine your ride up, let it sit for 20min & you'll have a fine layer of dust coating it. If you can live with the dust, the rock chips all over the air dam/front bumper and pockmarked windshield will make you batshitcrazy

One of the most therapeutic things to do for me is detail cars. For washing I use a foam cannon, deionized water, and a 1600 psi pressure washer. And of course the 2 bucket method

Haven't had a chance to wash the f30 yet...but here's another bimmer

yeah you guys get the spray off wet roads all year eh? We get wet slushy muck for 4 months (winter), bug splatter (april to early sept), then a few nice months of no residue before its back to winter

I also love to wash my car. Usually after work in the driveway with a beer and the Sirius boom box.

I have never washed a car in my life and never intend to. I simply hate manual labour. My BMW garage has now offered me a free wash and shine service and I am delighted. Otherwise, I take it to a nice East European garage who do the business for £10. Even better, they don't introduce swirl marks on the paintwork.

Oh, we've got terrible roads in the UK. Pothole Paradise.

But please don't categorize me as lazy.
