New E92
I posted these over on the other Bimmer board but I thought I'd post them here too. I ordered a 2013 328i coupe in Alpine White with premium, M sport, sat radio, heated seats, and Saddle Brown back during January and the car came in and was delivered last week. I was at first a little ambivalent on the SB leather but I'm very impressed with it. And, totally unbeknownst to me, the factory decided instead of putting on the usual 18" M sport whees that would normally come on the 328i to put on 19" style 313s. When my CA sent me pictures I thought he was looking at the wrong car. I never would have opted for the $5k extra for these wheels, but hell yeah I'll take them free of charge!
I have no plans to mod the car. It's a lease and I'm not sure if I'll be keeping it or turning it in for a new 4 at lease end. In a way, I think this could be a great keeper since it could very well be the last model year of a naturally aspirated I6 engine BMW will ever produce. Could that make it more valuable down the road? Odds are I would never keep it long enough for it to become a classic, but at the very least this engine and transmission has been thoroughly tested. The car is great to drive. Sure it doesn't have the 300 hp and 300 lb.ft like the 335i has, but it is definitely more than powerful enough for my needs. It is so nice going from a squirty little MINI Cooper S to the linear power this car can lay down. Anyway here she is, pre- and post-tinting. In a way I love that it superficially looks like a 335is, but in another way I hate poseurs and don't want to appear like one myself. Oh well, I didn't go out of my way to get them anyway.... |

I find it kinda hard to believe too. I certainly thought there had been a mistake when my CA sent me the pics. But sure enough, there they are. I love the way they look, but I don't think I'm going to love paying for new tires when the time comes!

i ordered one in january too, and it just got off the boat in NJ today hoping to get it by saturday one question i have is: what does your rear diffusor look like? when i built mine online, it looked like it was the performance diffusor (with the fins)... i was hoping they just decided for the last couple months of production they would put those on for free good looks on those free wheels too!
