Careful touching up parking sensors

One of my parking sensors peeled its paint off recent so i purchased a touch up paint kit from BMW to fix the problem. Today, i tested out my work and to my surprise, the flat tone beep for the sensor was pretty much 1mm away from the wall. Although i managed to apply a very thin layer that did not completely cover the black sensor, it was still too thick.

You mean 30mm?

30cm is miles away, you can fit a whole person in that space.

No, 30cm is what I meant. 30mm and you'd hit whatever it was before you had a chance to stop.

Wow, 300mm is seriously miles away... er compared to the Ford Falcon that work gave me anyway. That thing is fitted with a rear sensor and I believe it only beeps continuously at 50mm, the neat thing is that it shows you the distance to the nearest cm.

I haven't checked out the one on my E46 though.

Garage List
I'm more comfortable with 30cm knowing I have some room to spare at full tone.
