Fellow Canadian needs help
Hi guys,
I own a 2006 323i. I have a situation with my engine. I have burned one of my exhaust vavles in cylinder 1. I work at a dealership and my service manager has kindly let me leave my car at the shop while I fix it. But recently my GM has been on his a$$ about getting my car out of there. I need 2 exhaust valves but after sourcing it from BMW dealerships around the city, they said that there are none in Canada! They have to special order from Germany which will take 2 weeks. I need to get my car fixed and out of the shop ASAP. Does anyone have valves for sale? Maybe you have run into the same situation or have had your head resurfaced with valve replacement. Thanks in advance! John |

I think your best bet is to hit up the salvage yards to see if you can grab the parts off a written off car. I believe a place called Bimmer Heaven is out in Milton. They are on MaxBimmer as well (ex. 06 323i parting out: http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153692). That one is pretty mangled but you might be able to grab the valves from the cylinders near the back?
There's also Standard Auto Wreckers (http://www.standardautowreckers.com/) you could try. You could also try the US dealers (ex. getBMWParts.com) but most don't ship to Canada anymore so you have to drive across to pick it up. |
