Yes, compared with the white xenon bulbs they do look quite yellow. I just noticed this myself recently.

Don't Philips or Osram do H8 bulbs?
(Extreme/Silverstar)

Looks like an easy job - well easier than removing H7 bulbs on a non xenon car!

I ended up buying same and can agree better but could do with being whiter. Once headlights are turned on the DRL'S dim down and angels become more yellow again. Look quite reasonable with just DRL's durring the day.

I purchased a pair of 8500K H8 bulbs a few months ago from US Ebay for about $25 delivered.
They made a good difference but are still not as white as the Xenons.

Just changed from GP Thunder Drl's to Led's. Much whiter light photos taken in daylight much better in Dusk/night. Plus they dont dim down when headlights switch on. With Led number plate lights a much cleaner look all round.

They look great - did you get them from SSDD?

How much were they if you don't mind me asking, and did you have to take the front wheels off and remove the arch liners?

The Led's are plug and play with ballast resistor pack, just remove the bulbs and replace with the Led and reconnect and tuck the resistor pack inside the lamp housing. On turning the Led bulb holder the Led opens up in 2 and aligns up with the small angel eye apertures in the housing. Cost was £43 with postage and packaging (E-Bay) Don't Know if they are as good as the £105 ones from SSDD but they look the same design and all I know is I have had GP Thunders and these are much better in all conditions a definite white.

greatbm, can u tell me how the LED's actually connect to the car's power supply? IE do they have the same power connector as a standard H8 bulb?
The SSD ones seem to have crocodile clips? Certainly hope it's not a case of attaching crocodile clips to the light bulb connector!
Thanks

Could you post a link to the ebay product that you purchased please?

To gain access to the bulbs tho, did you have to remove the wheel arch linings?

Cheers
