Arrow FS: BMW Performance Steering Wheel-Yellow Stripe w/Paddle Cutouts (Non Electronic)

I have For Sale:

(1) New Condition BMW Performance Steering Wheel - Yellow Stripe, with Paddle Cutouts for Steptronic

SOLD - Thanx!

I have DCT paddles & I was told after the purchase, that this wheel did not work with DCT paddles unless the wheel cutout was trimmed - apparently that is not necessarily the case. In retrospect, I prolly should have gone with the Blue Stripe version anyway as the Tri-Stitching matches rest of IND interior parts

I didn't even install - just admired it for a while, then took the pics

> If you currently have a Sport Wheel/Airbag - just install this wheel & swap over your existing airbag

> If you do not have a Sport Wheel/Airbag - you will need to buy a sport airbag to work with this wheel

> Uses your OEM Steptronic Shift Paddles

> Uses Any of the Sport Steering Wheel Trims (MSport, M3, Etc.)

  • Part #32 30 2 157 308
  • Fits E90/E91/E92/E93/E88/E82 (128i & 135i)
  • Beautiful Alcantara Suede
  • Yellow Leather Centerline
  • White Stitching
  • Includes Air Bag Bracket & Wiring Harness

I installed this wheel last week. If anybody is wondering it is the best and most comfortable wheel for e90. I tried stock, M-sport and M3. One of my fav mods for sure.

I'm all for this wheel but why the hell did they put a yellow strip on top.

Its like they thought this wheel is so good that they have to make it a little worse or all sorts of hell would break out.

So yay on the wheel ugh on the yellow, i mean wtf, why ruin something so perfect.

Racers usually have a strip of color on the top of the wheel to let them know where the top of the wheel is and how much steering angle they've got going on - just a quick reference point when you're doing triple digit speeds on the track. That's why the yellow stripe is there.

On this wheel, BMW just carried over their Performance color of yellow - same as the yellow calipers & yellow lettering on the CF License Plate Frame

Obviously this wheel is not for everybody but for those that need/want it. It is probably the best wheel for the track. Perfect thickness, anti-slip (alcantra) material and an easily visible yellow strip that you can passively see even when not directly looking at it to get a reference point of your steering angle if needed. Check out P Cup interior to get an idea as well as BMW Performance/M parts to learn more. Even when driving on back roads I use the yellow ref point all the time, it gives you another piece of information about your steering.
