Best store wax?

What's a great wax you can purchase anywhere, say Walmart, better auto stores, etc.?

Busha, in the USA, Sonax is more of a boutique wax and not very common. I agree with the quality being quit good.

IMHO, as far as Walmart-Pepboys-Autozone brands, Maguire's and Mother's are fine when maximum durability and gloss are not as important as low cost or ease of application. Not everyone wants to spend all their free time/money detailing a car.

I personally use Mother's Pre-Wax Cleaner to clean the paint before applying a premium brand. It's easy to apply and removes contaminants without removing a significant layer of paint.

"BMW Wax" is Sonax rebranded; it's a deal at the dealerships too. Something like $12.95.

Good point.

Sonax basic wax is "Original BMW Auto-Wachs" in the tin can (83 12 0 002 719) for US $9.50.

Most of the other waxes at the dealership are made by Meguiar's (AKA: Meguiar's Mirror Glaze) and are cheaper at Walmart.

Here this Sonax Full Protect wax is 12 Euros, so it is very good ? I think that in Europe Sonax products are the best for car care. I dont clean the paint, on the 2-3 year old car just wash it and put this wax which is btw. EXTREMELY easy to remove and make the mirror on the car, of course if polishing is not necessary. Has anyone tried EagleOne products ? I have tried RainGard 20/20 for windshield, dont need wipers in the rain after 80 km/h, dont know is that common producer in the USA.

Sonax has been around for a long time in Europe. If you're happy with the results, then that's all that matters. The lack of a US presence means it isn't included in any Guru Reports (AFAIK) Why don't you give it a try and post some pics and your results in the Detailing Forum?

Sounds like RainGard 20/20 is one of the clones of a US product called Rain-X. When the patent ran out on acidified alcohol (used as a glass cleaner,) several similar products appeared on the market.
