Good deal on Micro Fiber towels

Well I was doing some shopping this weekend for normal household stuff at Target and stumbled onto a pretty good deal on micro fiber towels. They have a clearance sale going on one of the types of towels in the auto section: 4 MF towels for about $5. They are actually pretty nice towels: thick and very soft. I compared them to some others that I have that have been purchased from different locations. I would say they rank right behind the plush ones from Detailed image which are 3-4x the cost of these. If you go to Target they will be light grey in color. There are other MF towels there by the same company that are not as nice. I have a pack of these already (orange in color). I use them for wheels and windows. Irony: The lesser quality towels are more expensive right now. I only bought one pack cause I wanted to test them out first, but I’ll be heading back for more today or tomorrow.

Vroom, that’s the brand. I could not remember. Thanks! I noticed when I was there that were two types by the same brand and the ones on sale where much better.

I don't know what the offical size is, but if I had to guess, I would say they are 16" or 18" square? Not a drying towel, more of a "detailing" towel.

The larger the pack, the lower the quality (when it comes to the vroom brand).

Really? for the grey ones or the orange ones? well at $7 for 4 of the grey ones, they are still a bargain given that they are very close in quality to towels costing 2-3x that.

Vroom are actually around Cobra quality. They aren't as nice as some of the more expensive Pakshak towels though DC. ScottWax on Autopia actually uses these towels. The are one of the better OTC towels you can get.

FWIW, I have Pakshak, ExcelDetail, Cobra, and Meguair's MF towels.

Might be a dumb question, but are MF towels reusable/washable?

Yes, throw them in your washer. Use warm water and a mild soap like Woolite. Wash them separate from your clothes/non-mf towels. You can dry but only on medium heat or lower.
