For those of you 328 owners out there who are considering an upgrade to 335 M-Sport OEM brakes, I have a practically brand new, complete set of M-Sport brakes (F & R rotors, calipers & pads) available with only 965 miles on them (I upgraded to M-Performance brakes on my 335i).
Sorry didn't clean the calipers before taking pics. Some quick IPA/degreaser wiping and they'll look immaculate. You can see the pads and rotors show zero wear.
Make an offer. Shipping charges additional (total ~115lbs, probably in 4 separate boxes).
pm if interested.

Will the 335i brakes fit in a 328i?

Would be tempted to do this if I could confirm my Oz Superleggeras in 17x8" would clear them.

Also wonder if BMW would STILL replace the pads and rotors for free during the maintenance period lol.

IIRC others have experienced that only 18's will clear the rotors on 335i's with OEM brakes.

The warranty question is interesting. I'd think the 2yr brake flush maintenance should still apply, but since this would be a modification outside the OEM specs of your F30, the warranty for the brakes might be void.

This is best answered by talking with your service manager.
Please post the answer if you do ask.

I think it comes down to how cool the service manager is lol.

I also think I saw a couple of people in the winter wheel thread with 17's on their 335.

This is an epic upgarde...I've got a 328i loaner right now, and the brakes are mud in comparison to what I even have on the 335i. Unsure why, but GLWS!

I'm selling my 335i brakes in a few days $500 for the whole set...these are non M Sport, stock 335i calipers and rotors.

Great upgrade to the 328i, I have a loaner right now while its getting done and its a very different experience....

is this just a swap and go mod? I mean what if the brake booster or other parts aren't designed for this?

The 328 can take the same MPerformance brake kit as the 335 with no changes between the two. This leads me to believe that other hardware such as the master cylinder are the same between 328/335 or not an issue when upgrading.

Not meaning to doubt you, but any confirmation or solid evidence of this?

Aside from me, the only solid evidence is the MP kit states clearly that it fits both 328 and 335 and the install is the same. If there were required additional parts, you can sure bet that BMW will charge more for labor and note the additional hardware required.

Notice how the ad says the 328 needs the additional rear rotors? Yeah, BMW is happy to tell you of the additional $$$ you need for things.

So yeah, I really think that is all that is needed and the rest of the 328/335 brakes are compatible and allow for upgraded like the MP kit.

It also means the 335 brakes should be an easy swap onto a 328, it's just we are in need of confirmation if there is coding for such a swap.

Hi I'm looking at upgrading my stock 340i brakes to M performance Brakes.

Currently have 4 piston fronbt and 1 piston sliding on the rear.

What do you think about the new calipers and rotors are they better or stronger. Do you hear any noise from the dimples rotors some talk about?

Cheers
