BMW Trade-in Black Book?

So I was trying to trade-in my 2007 328xi with43k miles on it. Very clean and excellent condition.

One salesman at a dealer after physical inspection said it would go for $17000. He did check carfax, vehicle history and used paint meter to check all around.

Then I go to another dealer and he tried same but offered only $15500.He says its the full book value and they refer to black book.

Does anyone know what this black book is and how can I check it myself?

Thanks!

The only way I know of to get that data is a car dealer or insurer. It changes frequently and runs lower than Blue Book. You could try calling your car insurance to see if they will give you the info. Hope this helps...
