square 245s - what do I need
I've read, and read, and read some more and I'm still not sure...
Can someone tell me what ranges of offsets will allow me to run Michelin PSS's either 17" or 18" in a 245 width on the front of my pre-LCI E92 without deviating from stock camber? Reason I want to do this is a) my 19" RFTs are a little harsh b) I like the idea of a square setup and I am not afraid of a balanced or slightly oversteering vehicle c) I know BMW doesn't want you to rotate tires but I would like to have that option d) I don't want to go too aggressive on camber because I'm chea^H^H^H^Hfrugal and don't want to wear out my tires any sooner than I have to - and the car will likely see a lot of highway miles as my family lives several hundred miles away from me e) I don't want to do square 235s because that just doesn't seem to be enough rubber for the rear of the car. Any advice appreciated, or if there's any flaw in my reasoning and I should be going down a different road, advice in that regard is appreciated too. |
