DCI install and boost oscillation

Have JB4 and just installed BMS DCI. Manual says that the JB4 will take a few days to learn the new air flow and I understand that.

But in my first test drive, boost was hitting max 8psi and when shifting from 2-3, it would peak 10 and then drop down to 8 again. Pulled over to take a video of the boost gage (fuel gage), but when I pressed record and did a 3rd rip it looked fine... Is this oscillation the JB4 learning? (search yielded little information)
