Traded paint..

So I have a 2012 Melborne Red 335i and have a paint issue. Basically, someone traded paint with me on my bumper and a bit on the back lip of the trunk. It seems to be just on the surface, as when I feel it, I can feel the paint raised on those areas.

One small part on the trunk may have chipped the clear coat though.

My question, is how do I fix this? Can I do it myself (I don't trust myself to do any sanding or something resembling pro style work)?

My first effort was to clean the area and take a clay bar to it, but that didn't do much. It cleaned it up a bit, but there is still a fair amount of white paint visible.

Thoughts?

Photos would help.

A professional detailer might be able to use an orbital + polishing compound to remove the paint left on your car.

I got the paint off with some product I found. Now I just have to figure out what to do about the chips. It looks like it didn't get down to the paint, but the clear coat is scratched off in a couple circular areas about the size of a pencil eraser.

What product did you use to remove the paint?
