Yellow road paint . . .
Well, apparently the roads around here have had a fresh coat of yellow marker paint. When I got home, my wife asked if I drove through any paint. As I looked at here befuddled, she pointed to my driver front wheel well and a multitude of large yellowish-orange dots splattered the wheel well and some on the side driver paneling. Just great . . . .
So question to the fray, any recommendations on products to remove this additional paint? I'm not so worried about the deep wheel well part. But I am concerned about the inner lip of the well that is part of the driver's side panel and of course the side panel. Appreciate the help. |

Take some pictures and contact your local department of transportation.
See if they will cover the cost. Have her show you where she drove that night. You should see some yellow tire marks somewhere. Also she could have run over some spilled paint. In any case, hopefully it's just water based paint but try to use some citrus goof off to remove the paint. If that doesn't work, PM Picus. |

Clay bar may help on actual panels. Wheel well can be stubborn in my experience... I have some white dots on my wheel-well, wasn't sure if it was paint or gum... I dunno from where, but with all the dirt it's a non-issue really.

I had (presumably) road paint spatters earlier this summer. The spatters inside the wheel well liner (fender liner?) scratched off with a screwdriver and a clay bar cleaned the spots off my paint with no problems.
