OEM brakes
Hey guys,
My bros due for a brake job on his e90.. It's been 34k miles since the last brake job. I was going to help him order the parts oem from tischer and he has a friend who's a mechanic who will be doing the install. My questions is, what parts will I need to order? I know the pads, rotors, and sensors are a definite, Anyone know if i need anything else? |

If he really chewed thru his brakes in 34k miles, he probably cooked his brake fluid too. Might want to consider a flush and refill.

DOT4 brake fluid as well if your mechanic friend doens't already keep a bottle handy... how much is the OEM brake kit running you? What kind of BMW is it? (330i 335i etc)

Hey Guys thanks for the responses..... well after further inspection the front brakes have a nice amount of meat on the pads and rotors but the hole rear setup needs to be done....do I need to replace the front brake sensor along with the whole rear brake kit with sensor in order to get the lights under service info to go off since the lights came on for front and rear?

I saw the ebc stuff and yea it does look really nice but are the pads and rotors really going to last as long as the OEM stuff lasts? I have no experience with the aftermarket stuff like that...slotted rotors drilled rotors all that stuff I here just burns down your pads quicker or am I hearing myths??? And with tischer offering OEM at the bargains he does it makes it hard not to buy OEM |

I checked them out and watched the video on the ecs rotors as well which seemed pretty cool but with OEM at the same price from tischer it's hard to buy any other way... I would like to here from people that have used those ecs drilled slotted rotors with what pads and see how they like them and how the rotors hold up and which pads and how much life u get out of them....
