Question Sound change with ETS FMIC

I put a 5" ETS FMIC on the car on Friday. On Saturday I had a chance to change to the Cobb to Stage 1+FMIC and did some runs. The car runs very well and the boost is now just below 18 psi at 5,000 RPM and is not throwing any codes. My question is just a sound question. Prior to installing the FMIC you could hear the turbines spool up distinctly. Now there is nothing but smooth power. How would the FMIC change that?

Also, is the 17.8 boost reasonable without DP's?

Thanks.

Edited: Added question about boost.

The car will sound slightly different with a new/bigger fmic. You should really add downpipes, or reduce boost.

Thanks. I was surprised by the boost number. I thought it would be in 16 range. I may drop back to Stage 1+fmic sport.

hey buddy, how's stage1+ feeling?

Don't worry about the boost number. It is perfectly fine. With stage2+ the high boost will kick in earlier in the range because you'd have DPs and hence lower backpressure.

Enjoy your tune

now get DPs, put some E85 and run the race map

I'm enjoying the tune. It feels like the turbo's are providing power from top to bottom on the throttle. Very smooth. I played around with a couple of 0-60's and was just under 5 which I am very happy with.

The Cobb and the FMIC are enough for the time being. Maybe DP's and a custom tune for Christmas.

Definitely a good Christmas gift

0 60 will improve but the most noticeable would be 2nd gear onwards

stay safe
