Quixx Scratch Remover?

Anyone on e90post use this product yet? I was watching TV last night and saw a commercial for Quixx Scratch Remover and it looked legit. Just wanted to see if any other members have tried or had experience with this. Thanks in advance!

might want to try the detailing forum for this one.

I haven't used it though, or heard of it.

I've seen this for sale in Bavarian Auto...so it's probably not too shady. Would be curious to hear others' experience with it.

The commercial says it had TUV approval. I wonder what that means when it comes to a product like this.

I would be curious to hear from European members that have used this product.

Never heard of it. I use Meguiar's Scratch X for fine scratches, works like a charm. Just rub it in and buff it right out, top it with a sealant/wax of your choice.

The September edition of Consumer Reports did a review of scratch removers, and actually top rated Quixx by a significant margin (90 points vs. 76 pts.). Mothers came in second. Meguiars ranked fourth.

doing it by hand isn't the best way sometimes you just end up putting more scratches then you started with, and it take a good 2 days to do the whole car unless your superman and don't get tried...by using a porter cable it makes the whole process easy and you'll know that your are actually taking out the scratches and not just adding to them. I mean you can do it by hand but i mean i would do it by hand maybe if it were just a small spot otherwise I pull out the PC....

I figured that it had nothing to do with the kind of computer I was using.. I just couldnt think of what PC meant..

As far as doing the whole car, I was only going to use Quixx on a key mark that someone so graciously left me one day. Not the whole car.

Also, I think that the detail shop that fucked my car up two weeks ago used a PC on my car, there are like hologram-like swirls all over the car now.

Holograms are caused from a high speed rotary buffer, not a random orbital like the Porter Cable. Rotary to random orbital is like apples to oranges in comparison. A PC is a great long term investment for anyone who is serious about automotive car care.

If you have any questions on one, do not hesitate to ask.
