Can 16" Alloy RIM clear 328 sports xdrive brake?

Hi guys

as per the title, can you put 16" on a 328xdrive?

I'm looking for winter tire and rim package.
Is more cost effective for 16" vs 17"

Thanks

Go for an 18" square setup...

17 is the minimum according to him.

I've seen people go with a 19" setup just to look good in winter!

I went with 18" as that was the bare minimum for me.

If you have the M Sport brakes, you will need to get a minimum 18"; the 17" will scrape the brakes...

I can confirm this, as I switched to winter tires 2 weeks ago. I was looking at 16" packages too. However, I was advised to go with 17" minimum, so I coughed up the cost and went with Blizzaks rather than my initial Hankook iPike option. The tire guy assured me to get an extra year out of the Blizzaks vs the iPike.

In the end, the difference is small and you get a better looking rim (and hence a still aggressive looking BMW) and a great tire.
