Review M3 rep + I got my car back!
Hey guys,
This post will be a continuation of my earlier thread. TL;DR I crashed my car into a guard rail and took this as the opportunity to upgrade to bumpers to the M3 styling. I was without my car for almost 2 months but it was partially my doing, as I was messing around with where to buy parts and getting all the BMW parts at dealer cost (read: friend in parts department). I'd say they only spent about 3-4 weeks working on it b/c of me. Plus, they didn't drill holes in my new bumper for a STUPID F!@#ING license plate. Me gusta. River City Collision (Hepners auto body, Hudson WI). 10/10 review for them, Dennis was an awesome guy to work with, very patient and nice guy. I decided to order my parts from ebay seller europartsautostore. They were wonderful to work with, answered all my questions (quickly), FAST shipping and cut me a deal when I ordered both front and rear from them (PM for pricing). Fitment is a 9.8 out of 10 for the front, and a 9.9 for the rear. Not a joke guys/gals this stuff fit damn near perfectly. I have non-pdc, and 330i, so single exhaust. The bumpers came with fog lights, which I have yet to hook up (needed an adapter), and the lower grille inserts. Body shop did an amazing job. *only* complaint is I think the paint matches about 96%. I am honestly under the impression that BMW adds a pink/purple hue to the clear and that is missing from the color, you CANNOT notice it in anything but 100% sunlight. I don't put any blame on them for this as they did what they were supposed to do, paint color and calculate for aging (I think...). But the body work was awesome. Look at the old thread for what it looked like before. NOW WITHOUT FURTHER ADIEU, BMW porn: This is not a very accurate shot of the paint differences, the front got way more light. LMK what you guys think!! I am very happy about it, and I am glad to be back in my car. I was driving a 1998 Mazda 626, it got stolen (not a joke), went to a 1994 Toyota Camary wagon, Mazda got recovered, BMW came back to me Thanks for the support guys! |

That's a very nice upgrade...I don't know why the M3 rep bumpers doesn't look that good in pictures for me, but when I saw an actual one...it really really looks good. It must be the angles of shots....

Agreed, I'm not huge on the single either, but It'll do for now... Drop is next, and I wanted to powdercoat the rims black, with a red lip, or something fun.

I in the same boat. Like the front (but it's weird the fitment), the rear is super aggressive, will look better with quad exhaust and some odd mods mentioned.
Could you PM prices of front and rear from the ebay seller? |

I'm picking up my 335i tomorrow from the shop after I rear-ended a lady who decided to drive backwards into my car. I went for the m3 rep. Can't wait to see it.

Hey guys, I ordered this bumper and my body shop said the wiring for the fog lights didnt match the wiring from my 335i fog lights. How did you fix this?

theo or mikolo,
Do you know if the body shop needs to alter any parts on the current car to fit this bumper? Or was it basically plug and play (minus the harness) ? Thanks! |
