LED Sidemarker Bulb Question...PnP?
I am not very experienced when it comes to this stuff and dont want to mess up, so I recently ordered LED bulbs for my front turn signals and heard that if the sides are not led they will not match up. I ended up searching for replacement bulbs for the side markers and found these...http://www.e92-lighting.com/products/194_1A-91-0.html. I was wondering whether anyone else got these and if they are plug and play without any coding/resistors. Also will they throw any error codes? Thanks

you could buy any 194/t10 led and they won't throw errors for the side markers. They will, however flicker when you start the car. I would recommend the 5 5050 smd ones. You could find them in the vendor section

I believe flickering is just a side effect of the bulb check process that BMW performs. It's not a permanent effect. If you get errors, you can always get it coded out, too.

They will flicker. Code out rear turn signal bulb check to eliminate the sidemarker flicker.

The car does a bulb check, which send quick pulses to the lights. Only way to avoid them is to code them out.
I personally never found it to be a big deal, I had them on my car un-coded for 3+ years. I had the high performance bulbs side marker LED upgrade myself. They were error free. |

I can attest to the HPB Sidemarker bulbs as well. Been running the ambers with no problems for the past few months.
