E92 Pre LCI Mtech Fog Delete
So, ive been searching around and I cant find a definite answer. Will the 335is air ducts fit the pre lci mtech bumper for a fog delete?
Does it leave the gap or no? Anyone found a solution to the gap? Last edited by Shinzi; 09-26-2012 at 10:21 AM.. |

I'm sorry to say but I've been told by numerous sources, including Tischer, that you will need the LCI e92 M-sport bumper to fit the 335is duct grills; I believe the fog openings are not as wide on the pre LCI. Technically even with the LCI, minor modifications to the grills themselves are necessary for a 100% fit (I performed this modification a couple months ago), but nothing a Dremel couldn't fix . They do look great I will say, but I would not have gone through with it if modifications to my bumper were required.

Hmm, so are the ducts just too big on the pre-LCI bumpers? Seems like a dremel could take care of that...I already have cut into my OEM bumper to install my HPF FMIC, so I wouldn't have a problem doing a little trimming behind the bumper.

Im sorry, it is for an e92. I found a great deal on an OEM one without fogs or anything. So I was going to get the 335is ducts and hope they will fit with minimal modifications.
Also, since im buying just the front bumper. Will I need additional parts for the install? Or will the bumper just bolt on? |

Part Numbers
I thought I'd post the part numbers I ordered to install the 335is duct grills. I did not purchase the extened ductwork as that would have required inner wheel well modifications to accomodate them. I only purchased the actual grill and the retaining bracket that mounts in place of the fog assembly on the inside of the bumper. So far the existing oil cooler duct on the passenger side is solid despite not being directly held in place by the grill. Keep in mind, these parts are for the LCI e92, but cheers to whoever wants to try and make these fit on a pre-LCI Good luck!
