some small mods

Sick of waiting for an OEM one so I bastardised my car with an M performance style spoiler of ebay. I guess I'm reasonably happy with it for the price.

Also painted my whiskers satin black. Looks a bit more aggressive, but still want to do a m sport front retrofit when its feasible.

Nice car, nice spoiler.
So, what was the cost? Is it carbon fibre or plastic?

It's plastic. Cost was around $150 which included painting and shipping via FedEx.

Nice looking car you have there

you happy with the spoiler? might hit you up for the link down the track. I'm keen to get the black (not CF) spoiler for mine when it eventually gets here...

+1 like the whiskers painted too

Garage List
Thanks for sharing the boot spoiler pics, I was wondering what it'd look like on an F30. Reckon they'd look a treat on an M-sport F30.

Thanks eric Yeah I don't mind it. Up close the paint quality probably lacks a bit in comparison to the rest of the car.

Thanks. This one's just a replica. Might still get the OEM one when it's released.

Looks awesome, how did you attach it? Surely you didn't drill into the boot or did you use double sided tape?

Yeah, just double sided tape. I used some paint cleaner to remove any wax and then a small amount of rubbing alcohol on both surfaces. It's pretty firmly attached, but still easily removable.

Need to take some more photos as these don't really show it, but the car is on H&R sport springs with H&R 15mm spacers in the rear. Both more or less temporary though. Looking at the BMW performance suspension kit, if it ever becomes available, and a new set of wheels. Not exactly sure what yet.. I like the OEM look. Definitely needs to be staggered though because I want more rubber in the rear.

Thought I would add to this small mods thread. Very small mod that people might be interested in. Tinted the rear reflectors on the bumper with Laminx. I tinted the entire back lights but took it off as thought it looked crap and a bit too try hard so just kept the reflectors tinted......thoughts??

Thanks and no. I didn't take a photo of the tinted rear lights and as I was ripping it off thought I should have. To be honest the job I did was not that great so wasn't overly proud of it. With the shape of the light it was actually a bit harder than I first thought.
