DCI air filters not oiled enough?

Do these BMS filters appear dry as shat? I oiled them about 2k miles ago, and went light on the oil as I hear not to over oil but maybe I went too light. I followed the K&N oiling instructions. Are they supposed to be a nice shade of red to indicate they are oiled well? Looking at the filters closely with a flash light, there looks like there is oil, but I just wanna be sure I oiled well enough.

With flash (appear more white)

Should they always look like this after oiling? Or do they only look like this when you first buy them:

Thanks!

Ya, I definitely think those need oiled more. Not saturated but they should definitely have a light colored red hue.

Over oiling is more of an issue on MAF cars, which we are not. Oil away good sir.

It depends on what manufacturers oil you use. K&N's is pretty red.

I do every other oil change, so in my case every 15k miles. Unless the filter looks filthy I do it earlier. But since I never drive on any dusty roads it rarely gets exteremely dirty.
