My 1st E85 Log....WOW!

I am a virgin to e85.....Im so sad it took this long! Good Job Vishnu!!!! From my butt dyno the car feels like a raped ape!!! And no methanol.....
I like E85 for 2 reasons...I helped me find an ongoing issue, that was sometimes there in logs, and sometimes not. NEW PLUGS it is. But this thing runs great, for all those who are hesitant to try, dont be and DO IT!

Here is my 1st log...plugs just got ordered so I can run like a champ!
THanks Robert and Shiv.

Correct me if I'm wrong but at the end when you let off the gas it looks as if the AFR got super lean. Shouldn't it be the opposite?

Nope, that's normal. The injectors actually close completely when you lift off the throttle.

That's strange, wouldn't you want to put a little bit of fuel on to keep the chambers cool?

Once the car goes back to idle it will run fuel again. Perfectly normal.

Nope. The cylinders will cool off naturally since there is no combustion during deccel. The next fuel enrichment comes when the injectors turn on again.

That causes backfiring and exhaust popping and is not good for emissions. They call it the fuel cut during over-run (over-run meaning closed throttle, engine decelerating back to idle). If you ever pull the acoustic cover off the top of the motor, you can hear the injectors ticking away. They go silent if you rev up and let off, then once near idle, you can hear them clicking again.

Or you could feed them lots of fuel to keep the turbos spooled like the rally cars.........but this would be bad for emissions.........
