335i TT Vs RS4

Ohhhhh What a nice addition. This past Saturday I installed the Turbo tuner in the vehicle and let me answer some of the questions that i can see coming.....!

Why TT and not Xede/PROcede?
~I paid cash for the vehicle and i plan to take full advantage of the warranty, TT literally goes on and off in 27 seconds

Am I happy with the Power gains?
~Absolutely, this little piece of S**t ( Excuse my french ) makes the car complete with JUST the right ammount of power......!

Do you think this is a Better upgrade than PRO/Xede?
~ NOT AT ALL the Pro/Xede are perfect and NOT overpriced at all, with the PROcede V2 forecasted to top them all, Shiv, your are the man ~period~ I will deffinetly install the PROcede once i climb the Mileage ladder, you have my word....!

back to the story.....I will def answer any questions.

Monday, another start to the 5 day routine of my life. I hate Mondays, I hate Mondays because I love Mondays, the weekends have their pleasurable family fun moments but most of the time there is a restrain to what you can do, where you can go, or even what you can accomplish, Going to Movies or a Late night, night out with my better half has not been possible the last 15 months, Yes an angel has entered our house and, (Like any parent) I will give my life before anything happens to her well being.

It takes few weeks of ear piercing crying during the nights and a good amount of “Bad-poo-poo Diaper” before you actually do realize that your freedom slowly has been taken away from you. Your limited freedom is such that you can’t wait for Mondays, The baby goes to day care from 7:30 ~ 6:30 and the wife, a well respected Doctor won’t be home until pretty much the same time, that gives me a 13hr window to study, go to work, then the gym and have a 1-2 hrs of free time before I have to pick the baby up.

And here we are, another one of these “Beginnings-of-MY” 5 day routines.

7:30 am, I Dropped my baby off to the day care, and like always, she turns around and looks at me with that look. that heart piercing look that someone who thinks you abandon them gives to you, I gave her a hug and promised to be there on time.
Actually to be honest, like a goofy “daddy” I pulled one of those little chairs up to the 12 inch tall table surrounded by 1 yr olds and I sat next to my daughter, that calmed her down enough that she started laughing, alright, now I feel less guilty time to make a stealthy exit I said to my self and slowly I sneaked out the room, then the main entrance.

I thought that would have been the highlight of my day, but, how wrong was I..!

I took the back road back to my house. When I got at the stop lights the same 07" RS4 that I have seen around the town those past few weeks was sitting there waiting for the light to turn green, the one and only thing that crossed my mind soonest my cornea recognize the "RS4" Budge was to put the TT to the test.

I lined up next to him and waited for the red glare to diminish and the green to open the stage, looked left, clear, looked right, clear, behind, clear, Valentine radar~ Quite, everything seemed like this was it, and thankfully the last piece to the puzzle completed it self, the RS4 vigorously raved its engine, the growl of the V8 rumble the ground raising my heart beat to levels that I previously only knew were possible on a treadmill after 20-30 minutes.

The Audi driver tried to take a look at me but my tinted windows made sure that was impossible, I never raved the engine, not until I look at the opposite direction light and notice it turning orange, then red which made ours------Green-----, Like a Checkered flag going down for a battle between David and Goliath....DTC pressed once, I lunched the car as good as I could but the 4WD RS4 had already jumped 3/4's of a car length ahead.

2nd gear.......the distance...diminished to a minor length of only his front quarter lead......3rd gear....Could this be happening, I can barely hear the 335i, its sound has been topped by that growl of the RS4 V8 Raving vigorously past 8000 RPM, BUT the car, my car....or shall I say the "turbo tuner" tuned 335i, has leaped forward to a FULL car length, by forth.....

I can clearly see the RS4 in the kind of angle view that only his bumper is visible and not the side of the car insisting there has been a gain of at least 2-3 car in lead, then the fun stops, approaching the main street. This time I lowered my window not knowing what to expect as a reaction, surprisingly enough, the driver was a very nice individual, and like a gentleman he gave props, greet me to have a nice day and off he went his way.
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________

I have raced numerous vehicles before but i have always had an up front respect for the RS4 and still do, the RS4 serves a different purpose, a gorgeous luxury family car with world class preformance and a hefty price tag. well, I am just glad my 335i with a $599.00 upgrade could turn such an unbelievable sittuation to reality.

Thanks Eurobahn/Split-Second for making such a great product.

P.S
Excuse my writting style, i took some classes in college and they kinda stuck with me whenever i write something

Hmmm, I Have read Harry potter, it has alot of good insights once you let the story take you to those places, is just like a good movie, when you exit the theater you can sence "knowledge" or---a change in attitude based on the matterial of the movie, althought i could never relate the movie character to the pages of J.K Rowling.

Greek, It's just scary and respectful that someone who came to US 10 yrs ago as a teenager writes better than most of us who were born here.

Great story, Great damn kill kid. I read it 3 times and having meet you and your car from up close I felt as if i was right there seeing it all happening.

hey you should def write an e90post exclusive release book.

I will buy it

Peace

YO dude, very nice story, nice writing, and +1 for the "newborn" addition.
mine is only 1 years old (+ a few days) so I totally understand and share almost the same situation. Luckily her sleep timer is set to 19.00, so I can take care of my car & stuff after 8PM until dusk (or dawn).

Nice kill, just keep it safe, daddy

great kill!

i just actually had my turbo tuner installed this past week also and killed a camaro ss the other day. whats funny is that my gf is with me and she told me he looked over and looked straight again, then he started cracking his neck, LOL. right when the light turned green i had the launch (DTC held down for 5 seconds) and beat him about a car length. whats also funny is that i knew it was modded and those things are supposed to be straight line only but apparently not with a chipped 335i. i was running on 96 octane at the time....

Great story~ it makes me appreciate my 335 alot more....knowing the potential that this car can provide is pure excitment...and to think it can compete with these high end cars with just a few mods is unreal, and hearing your story brings me high hopes for this car. The technik widebody 335 has 415hp-490lb/ft with just the gruppeM intake, custom cat exhaust and Haltech management comp is UNBELIEVEABLE.
