Mine was ordered on April 18, production number assigned on May 8, took delivery on June 27 and the door plate says 05/07. Yours must be a very early production model.
Looking back: I first saw the E93 at the Toronto International Auto Show in February and I was told that those on display were pre-production models, won't be for sale (go to the crusher after finished with all the car shows?). Then I was invited to the E93 launch at Maranello on March 29 and the cars there were actual production cars. Those would have been built in late December or January. Yours might have been amongst the very first Canadian model to roll off the assembly line. That might have explained your roof leak problem.....

hmmm...
Since I'm leasing the car, I don't really care that much about the production date. I do care about the leaky roof, the potential for the fuel pump having a problem, and any further time away from driving my car. I guess it's kinda cool i have one of the first Canadian productions. I have to look at the bright side. Any ideas what other mods changed from earlier production dates?

Ok,
after a few hours of research, this is what I've now learned: 1. Production of the E93 didn't start until 02/2007 2. My car was produced 12/2006 3. My car, apparently, was at the Toronto Autoshow earlier this year (see pics and video in my other threads in this forum) 4. My roof leaked, was fixed, still leaks. 5. My roof had another issue 6. My BMW assist didn't work upon delivery 7. I assume my fuel pump will fail 8. I probably have the one of the first E93 335s produced for Canada, if not the first Im not quite sure what the advantage or disadvantage of my 12/2006 production is, except a lot of people probably played with the roof, sat in the car, and drove it to 100km before I drove it 1km. I'm looking forward to your feedback...

If I remember correctly there were only 2 E93's at the Toronto Autoshow (My wife said there was a black one somewhere else but I didn't see it): A sparkling graphite one (I actually sat in it) and a Montego blue one. Both have black interior and stick shift, no iDrive. They used the Montego blue one to demo the roof once every half hour or one hour, and they told my wife that they wouldn't do it more often because the roof had come off track and jammed a few times. But they said this was a pre-production model and the problem won't appear in actual production cars.
