Regrets with coral red?

I like the coral red. Not a lot but I think it's very cool and it makes the bmw a bit exotic. However, I am wondering if anyone who owns one got tired of it?

Our sales manager cringes every time a client orders it as he says it's just a nightmare for resale.

Personally I think it's pretty cool looking but one may grow tired of it after some time.

I had Imola Red interior on my Jet Black M3 and loved it. I certainly do not see red as a negative. I particularly like it with grey, silver, or black exterior. My only hesitation is that you note that you like it, not that you love it.

It's hit or miss IMO. I personally love it. Most people who see it thinks it goes well with Sparkling Graphite and is "hot". I've had it since Feb. and so far I've gotten nothing but good comments. Sometimes they in conjunction with me getting complimented .

Resale? Some people will say that its hard to get rid of but you've got people like me (that love it) that might want to get one used and will pay top (used) dollar to get it. Most of the AW cars I've seen in Miami have CR as well as the Space Grey and Sparkling Graphite. I think it's a fantastic color and once you see one in person, it's hard not to appreciate.

Yup, just saw it with Sparkling Graphite in a coupe yesterday and it is really stunning in the bright sunshine. I gave a thumbs-up to the driver, who was behind me.

But I agree with the potential resale challenges... might be tricky.

For once, I have to agree with the Sales Manager. Just like the lemon interior, the coral red looks awesome when it is new. Once it gets old (2-3 years), it will look worse than the conventional black.

Looks amazing. I will be purchasing coral red for my next vehicle if it is a BMW. Either grey or white exterior and coral red interior.

You have to live a little. If it is hard to resale well then dont purchase the vehicle. If you lease it won't be your problem.

I think it looks outrageous. Whether thats a good thing or a bad thing is up to you. I would say the definition of outrageous changes for me from day to day so i stuck with tan.

Red looks good on a showcar, but personally -I would only be able to live with black, tan or lemon.

I love mine! I think that it really makes a black or white car. Looks good on silver and grey as well. IMHO, BMW has too many BORING color combinations.

Sorry I don't have an E9x, but I have the Imola Red interior in my Alpine White M Coupe. Everyone that sees it thinks it is unbelievably cool.

I leased the car, so I could care less about resale. But in all sincerity I don't think it would hurt resale at all. Especially in sporty cars, people often look for something a little different and fun. Go for it if you like it!

I like the Coral Red interior, but would only consider it on a lease, so I don't have to worry about resale value. AW + CR = Hotness.

I have space gray / coral red and it's the hottest car I've ever owned. Get compliments from everyone who's ridden in it. For me, black / gray leather is just too cliche and boring.

Personally, I love the saddle brown though and if I was to go through the hassle of special orderinging a car, that's what I'd get.

I wasn't sure when it was on it's way... But when I saw it first hand I was blown away. It's so much more interesting, and BETTER LOOKING than the BORING BLACK blah that I knew I had fortunately made the RIGHT decision.

He he he... Yeah my point is color is subjective, just opinion and people spouting off like their particular preference is somehow better is comical.

I do like the red leather, It's classic, has a lot of character and suits the E92 very well. I get more compliments on the leather than just about anything else. You do need to keep it clean but this is pretty simple.

It may not be everyones cup O Tea, but in a car with the genetic background of the 3-series coupes it fits quite well and ads a bit a flair to a rather simple interior.

I have seen it live and I don't mind it!

It was on a E92 with a Sparkling Graphite exterior!

I have Coral Red with Sparkling Graphite. I love it, as does everyone who's seen it (or so they tell me). My wife thinks it's the sexiest thing about the car (besides me ).

wasn't sure about it when I first got it, but it's really grown on me. my last one had black, so I was pretty used to that - which is why I wasn't sure at first. But I've gotten pretty used to it. On comparison, the tan in my z3 seems bland and boring now.... if you like it, go for it - it will only grow on you over time. If the whole interior was red, it would be a bit much, but it is just enough to liven it up, IMO

Love it, its the best color I think, and so do most of my friends. Of course I am younger, only 24, so maybe thats why... but regardless it is stunning.

Sounds like hyperbole to me. Before I bought my car I saw 3 test cars in space gray and coral red. Nightmare for resale? Why would a dealership then accept them as test cars, they have to sell them eventually.

i love black just think it looks as classy and sporty as it gets!!!! not a fan nor are any of my friends of the red and have often been asked why people get the red interior....but i think it looks alright in space greay and that is it!!!!!! no stars wars red and black!!! what the hell was his name? anyways if you want something unique that YOU like than get red...but be aware a lot of people think it looks ugly..like yellow on a ferrari...and if you want something classy get black...i highly doubt you'll regret it....if you want something super unique go for the lemon yellow...again i stress GET WHAT YOU WANT!!!! people are gonna knock the red though you will never get a knock on black and black is easier to clean as well... whereas you might get some "that red interior kicks ass"...you will definitely get a lot of "damn i definitely do NOT like the red" because it is more outlandish...and it should be on the outside not the inside unless a deeper burgundy like old race cars!!!just my opinion!! it's just b/c i have had quite a few people only ask "why do people get that ugly red interior" about interior colors no one says Grey, black, beige... it b/c the red is LOUD...but some people online get it and love it so if you love it that is all that matter NEVER get something based on what other people like!!!!!!!
